MY TEACHER NAVEEN

When I was in 9th std, we had a new teacher named Naveen Rai. He was actually the X student of our school. He had just completed his B.A. exams and was waiting for the results. During that time he had come to teach us for a few months. And he was handling English.

I'd call him as my most favourite teacher even today. The way he taught lessons was excellent that I still remember them. He was unique in his approach. He used to make each student participate in the class. He had told us to find out 10 new words from the dictionary everyday and we had to write their meanings and use them in our own sentences. Apart from this, if we found any new words in the lessons, he'd not only give their meanings but also many examples of their usage. This'd definitely improve our vocabulary.
And Grammar class, oh! it was superb. In just 2 or 3 months, he had taught us the most important and interesting things in English grammar. If I have a better language and vocabulary today, it's only bcoz of him. All the grammar classes would be so interactive that we'd eagerly wait for those classes. Not only that, he'd tell about his life experiences, moral values in life.
It was he who inculcated in me the passion for learning English. Until then I was not very concious of the words used in writing or even spoken. I had thought grammar is only the parts of speech or the voices but it's beyond that.
He was likely the favourite of all students, but I was one of his favourite students. We were very disappointed when he left our school, for having missed such a wonderful teacher.
Today he is a Ph.D. holder in English and is running his own school.
NAVEEN SIR YOU ARE GREAT !
